Green Day Give 'Father Of All...' Television Debut On 'Kimmel': Watch

On Thursday night (September 12), Green Day gave their new single "Father Of All..." its television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. The song sees the trio testing out a new sound, as Billie Joe Armstrong showcases his falsetto.

Though this was the first time the band played the new song for a TV audience, it's actually not the first time they've played it live (even though it came out on Tuesday (September 10)). The same day the track dropped, Green Day played an intimate secret show with Fall Out Boy and Weezer, after the trifecta announced they'd be hitting the road together on the Hella Mega Tour next year.

And that's not all the exciting news Green Day fans received this week. When they announced the tour and new song, they also announced a new album. Father Of All... is slated for a February 7 release. Watch them perform "Father Of All..." on Kimmel below.

Green Day is performing at this year's iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas in September alongside a lineup of superstar artists. Fans across the country can tune in and watch an exclusive live stream of the show via The CW App and CWTV.com. Then, on October 2nd and 3rd, relive all of the epic performances from the weekend during a televised special on The CW Network at 8pm ET/PT. And leading up to the official television special, The CW will also air an hour-long Best Of Special on Sunday, September 29th at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
