Country stars are just like us, especially when they admit to singing karaoke. Maren Morris is no exception.
In a recent interview with Cody Alan, Maren shared that karaoke was a big part of discovering music.
โI donโt come from a particularly musical family. My mom loves to sing karaoke, and my dad loves to noodle around on the guitar, but that is one thing that we can all connect to, and that is music.โ
โYour mom does karaoke, like at the house... or at the bar?โ Cody inquires.
โBoth,โ laughs Maren. โShe has won contests, ugh karaoke contests.โ
Maren continues to share that her parents own an Aveda hair salon in Texas and Christmas parties often included karaoke. Maren confesses that she couldnโt resist sneaking into the party to grab the mic.
โI was a really shy kid, but for some reason, I would sneak into the party and put on โSomewhere Over The Rainbowโ or something. Thatโs kind of how I started loving to sing.โ
Maren also went on record to admit that she and her mom have a few go-to karaoke songs that they like to pull out. โShe loves to sing โSin Wagonโ by the Dixie Chicks and the 4 Non Blondesโ โWhatโs Up?โ But, mine is Beyoncรฉโs โHalo.โ
