Not only did Shawn Mendes deliver a swoon-worthy 30-minute set during KIIS FM’s 2018 Jingle Ball presented by Capital One on Friday, November 30, at The Forum in Los Angeles, he surprised the crowd by bringing out pal and “Youth” collaborator Khalid.
Mendes kicked off his crushable performance with “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back,” current hit “Lost In Japan” and “Stitches” before surprising the crowd with the Grammy nominate singer.
“This next one is one of my absolute favorites off the album and I’m so lucky to be able to play it with one of my best friends,” he teased before Khalid made his way on stage. “Please give a warm welcome to Khalid!”
The duo then serenaded the crowd with the chart-topping hit before Mendes segued into “Treat You Better.”
He then took a moment to ~swoon~ graciously thank his fans for their support year after year.
“I truly been the luckiest guy on planet earth,” he gushed to the sold-out crowd. “I owe it all to you guys — so thank you so much.”
Mendes concluded his set by performing “In My Blood.”
“This next song is super, super meaningful to me,” he expressed, as the crowd help him conclude his set by belting out the track, which details the singer’s battle with anxiety.
