MONSTA X Deliver History-Making 2018 KIIS FM Jingle Ball Performance

BRB, practicing our MONSTA X choreography 🙌 The K-Pop sensation group performed for the first-time ever at KIIS FM’s 2018 Jingle Ball presented by Capital One at The Forum in Los Angeles on Friday, November 30, making them the first-ever K-Pop group to perform at the annual show.

The septet — Wonho, Minhyuk, Shown, Kihyun, I.M, Hyungwon and Jooheon — kicked off their set by amping up the crowd with a mesmerizing performance of hit “Shoot Out,” the lead track from their second full-length album, Take.1: Are You There?

“We are so glad to be here, oh my God!” the group expressed to the crowd between songs. “… I know you guys can feel a little awkward about K-Pop … we are going to make this K-Poppin’ right now … are you ready to turn up?” they exclaimed to the crowd before breaking out into a perfectly choreographed rendition of hit “DRAMARAMA."

“The next song is so intense so just get your body into the music and move,” the group, clad in black jumpsuits and chains, concluded before closing their set with “Be Quiet.”

The über poplar K-Pop performed earlier in the night and opened the festivities with a short set during the KIIS FM Jingle Ball Pre-Show Village Presented by Fujifilm Instax. The show was free to the public, with hundreds of fans waiting hours ahead of their performance to catch the show.

"Seriously, we really didn't expect this phenomenon,” rapper I.M, Monsta X's resident English speaker, told The Hollywood Reporter ahead of KIIS FM’s Jingle Ball. “Lots of K-pop singers have found success in the U.S. recently, and we are inside of that movement. It feels really great."

Their first-ever, history-making KIIS FM Jingle Ball performance comes after the group were first formed three years ago on the South Korean music survival show No.Mercy.
