Brown Bag Lady started in March 2014. The idea first one Christmas morning when Ja son and I packed up my car and we went downtown Christmas morning Jacqueline and her son, stood on a corner, and handed out turkey dinners. They didn’t have much money, but had about $200, which is used to make 70 meals, which included mashed potatoes & gravy, she baked two turkeys, a pot of collard greens, and a biscuit. They looked around and noticed Christmas morning on Skid Row is far different from other neighborhoods. It bothered her all year. The following year, She did the same thing, but asked for friends to chip in. Christmas 2013, They fed 130 people and also gave away gently worn clothes and shoes that they had been collecting all year long.
