Bruno Mars Trying To Replace Cardi B On Tour, Rapper 'Shed A Lot Of Tears'

Bruno Mars was just as shocked as everyone else when Cardi B announced that she'll be backing out of the remainder of his 24K Magic World Tour. Cardi was set to perform as his opening act, and now the position is totally up for grabs.

The tour started in March 2017 and after a hiatus in August, is set to resume in September of this year. Sources connected to the production of the tour told TMZ that so far no replacement has been set for Cardi B. They also claim that producers have been 'burning up phones' and have begun to start conversations with a number of musicians' representatives, but so far nothing is set in stone.

Tons of logistical issues were allegedly caused by Cardi B announcing her withdrawal from Bruno's show. Dancers were hired to perform with her on stage, costumes for the artist and her support were made and stage props were built for her opening performance.

The news of Cardi B pulling out broke on Friday July 27th after she posted a screenshot of a note she typed on her phone to social media. She says that she 'underestimated' the work it took being a new mother and shared she just wasn't 'physically' or 'mentally' ready to take her daughter from show to show. She stated:

"As of today I've decided I won't be joining Bruno on tour this Fall. I thought that after giving birth to by daughter that 6 weeks would be enough time for me to recover mentally and physically. I also thought that I'd be able to bring her with me on tour, but I think I underestimated this whole mommy thing. Not only am I just not ready physically, I'm not ready to leave my baby behind since the doctors explained it's not healthy for her to be on the road. I hope you guys understand that this decision has been the hardest to make but I have to do what's best for myself and my baby! Thank you Bruno for being so supportive and understanding."

A source close to Cardi B exclusively reported to HollywoodLife.com that removing her name from the tour's billing was not easy for the rapper - she 'shed a lot of tears' but strongly felt that she had no other choice. Cardi's daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus is extremely attached to her and even with the help of her mother and sister she's been overwhelmed.

“Cardi hasn’t left her baby at all since she came home from the hospital, not even to go for dinner. And she’s still refusing to hire a nanny because she doesn’t want a stranger looking after her child. She does have her mom and sister living with her and helping out but even with them it’s hard because Kulture is very attached to Cardi, she cries when she tries to put her down.”

One source of support for the rapper has been husband and Migos member Offset. Hollywoodlife.com's source revealed that Kulture has brought the couple closer together than ever before and that Offset fully supports Cardi's decision to fall back and do what's right for their child.

“Cardi has Offset’s full support for pulling out of this tour. He has given her so much confidence and really boosted her up to make her feel okay about making this call. She has a lot of fears about this decision, silly stuff like what if people forget about her while she’s on her maternity leave. But Offset made her realize that was just her fears and insecurities playing tricks on her mind. She credits him with giving her the strength to do what’s right for her and their baby. The baby has only brought her and Offset closer together than ever before. She could not have made this tough decision without his support. Thanks to Offset, Cardi has been able to delay her touring and still feel loved and secure in her life thanks to this amazing man."
