Get ready Coachella goers — the festival is set to be a hot one again this year! According to AccuWeather, the desert out in Indio, California is set to hit a high of 94 degrees on weekend one, and 93 degrees on weekend two.
However, if the previous years are any indication of what's going to happen during the festival, the heat will not stop anyone from dancing their hearts out... even if they're crammed into the Sahara Tent with thousands of other festival goers.
We'll give you a rundown of the day-by-day temperatures.
Weekend One:
- Friday, April 13: High of 88 / Low of 59.
- Saturday, April 14: High of 94 / Low of 60.
- Sunday, April 15: High of 93 / Low of 60.
Weekend Two:
- Friday, April 20: High of 93 / Low of 60.
- Saturday, April 21: High of 89 / Low of 64.
- Sunday, April 22: High of 88 / Low of 65.
Overall, these temperatures are pretty average for the festival! The heat is brutal, but usually manageable as long as you take the proper precautions. Make sure to keep your water bottle refilled and give yourself the proper amount of time to rest in the shade. If you are running from stage to stage nonstop, you are going to feel the effects of the burning sun a lot stronger than someone who is taking breaks. In addition to that, don't make the mistake of forgetting sunscreen!
While it's almost guaranteed that you're going to be fanning yourself during the day, it's going to be a bit chilly at night. There's no need to fret — Coachella rents out lockers if you want to store a jacket for night time while you're running around all day. In addition to that, if you're camping on site you can go back to your tent and change into a jacket and long pants!
This year's festival is sure to be one of the best yet. Beyoncé, Eminem and The Weeknd are headlining... that is ALL we really need to say.
The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is always one of the biggest, having an attendance of 125,000 people in 2017. There is such a wide variety of music offered that whatever genre you are interested in, they will have plenty of acts for you to watch! Plus, their massive art displays are incredible.
Get ready to beat the heat and have a crazy weekend if you're going to Coachella this year!
