In down town today, a group of accolade bearing personalities, including Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and his wife, joined in the ceremonial groundbreaking of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Exposition Park.

This is going to be a massive $1.5 billion project. The nonprofit museum will hold Lucas's personal collection of film artifacts and art. The museum to the West of Exposition Park, right next to USC where George Lucas studied film.

The Lucas museum is going to be “a school for schools,” a safe place where students can advance themselves artistically.

George Lucas says, “This is an art museum, but I’m trying to position it almost as an anthropological museum,”.

This museum is going to be HUGE. It's going to be 300,000-square-feet holding two wings, libraries, exhibition space, theaters and classrooms. I'm really excited because it will also showcase Lucas's collection including photography, storyboards, costumes, animation and historic items from motion pictures. I'm super excited to see the items from the Star Wars films and the Indiana Jones series!

It's going to be so great for kids and Adults, there will be daily movie screenings, a public library, and digital classes. There will also be educational lectures revolving around art and entertainment.

It looks like Construction is expected to wrap in late 2021, can it come any faster?!
