Hailee Steinfeld Dishes on Upcoming AMAs Performance with FGL, Alesso, Watt

Hailee Steinfeld is on fire. The actress/songstress just wrapped films Pitch Perfect 3 and Transformers’ spinoff Bumblebee and is also set to perform “Let Me Go” for the first time at the American Music Awards this Sunday alongside Florida Georgia Line, Alesso, and Watt.

“We will all be together on stage performing the songs for the very first time which is insane. I’m so excited,” Hailee shared when she called in to On Air With Ryan Seacrest on Thursday, November 15. “I can’t wait for this performance it’s going to be amazing.”

The award show will mark the first time the collaborators have performed the hit song live together. Hailee, who has been busy filming Bumblebee, still has to meet with Florida Georgia Line, Alesso, and Watt to discuss how their “creative will come to life.”

The True Grit actress, who made a name for herself when she was nominated for an Oscar in 2011, added that she’s grateful for the full schedule.

“It’s so crazy and I think about it every day when I wake and every night before I go to sleep how lucky I am to be able to do both [singing and acting],” Hailee shared with OAWRS. “There’s no denying it’s a huge challenge, but I love it. And I can’t even believe it — speaking to the AMAs — I was a presenter [the past two years] … and now I’ll be on stage as a performer … and having just wrapped a movie with one coming out at Christmas — it’s absolute madness.”

Catch Hailee’s performance and the AMAs this Sunday, November 19, live on ABC.
