Jacob Tremblay, 11, Adorably Shares Where He Thinks He Got His Talent From

Adorable — and über talented — 11-year-old actor Jacob Tremblay stopped by stopped by On Air With Ryan Seacrest on Tuesday, November 14, to chat about his emotional role in film Wonder and you have to hear how he *thinks* he got his talent.

In the movie, which is based off R.J. Palacio’s book by the same title, Jacob plays Auggie Pullman, a smart 10-year-old with a congenital facial deformity who has to face public school for the first time.

Jacob’s dad, Jason Tremblay, accompanied him to the studio on Tuesday and when asked where Jacob got his talent from, Jason admitted he has “no idea.”

“We’re super proud to say the least,” Jason added of his son. “It’s impressive and just watching him in Room and in Wonder, we wonder where it came from. He amazes us.”

Jacob, however, knows where it came from:

“I was walking — I woke up in the middle of the night because I needed to do a potty break — and all of a sudden I heard a noise outside,” Jacob said. “I opened the window and there’s this giant floating thing and I threw a stick at it and it shot a laser in my chest and from there on I knew I had power.”

Could he get any cuter?! Relive the full interview in the audio and videos above.

Wonder hits theaters on Friday, November 17.
