Netflix Original 'Sense 8' Is Officially Cancelled

Sensates grab some tissues because Netflix has officially cancelled Sense 8. In a statement released by Netflix vice president of original content, Cindy Holland said,

"It is everything we and the fans dreamed it would be: bold, emotional, stunning, kick ass, and outright unforgettable. Never has there been a more truly global show with an equally diverse and international cast and crew, which is only mirrored by the connected community of deeply passionate fans all around the world. We thank Lana [Wachowski], Lilly [Wachowski], Joe [Michael Straczynski] and Grant [Hill] for their vision, and the entire cast and crew for their craftsmanship and commitment."

This news is released on the first day of June which is also commemorated as LGBT Pride Month. The show was highly recognized for its recognition in LGBTQ and diversity representation.

Fans continue to express their feelings towards Netflix decision with some people even cancelling their subscription. Check out the tweets below!

The show ran for two seasons and left many cliffhangers which also made fans upset. A petition with over 15,000 signatures has been created for a Season 3 renewal.
