Next Up Artist of the Week: Bea Miller

We've got another X Factor rising star, and her name is Bea Miller. The Brooklyn-raised 18-year-old got her start on the second season of the talent showcase tv series. After placing ninth on the show, her signed to both Hollywood Records and Sysco Music. Her first debut EP was released in 2014, followed by her debut album released the next year. 

Bea's EP reached the No. 2 spot on iTunes' pop album chart. That same EP started at the No.64 spot on the Billboard 200 chart the day it was released. Miller also landed the opening act spot for Demi Lovato's world tour. 

Bea Miller was announced Radio Disney's Next Big Thing artist for 2015. Gaining momentum, her music was featured on Disney channel and opened for Fifth Harmony's "The Reflection Tour", alongside Natalie La Rose and Debby Ryan. That same year, Miller was chosen by the public as the next Vevo lift artists, and her single "Young Blood" won the Radio Disney Award for "Best Song to Rock Out to With Your BFF".

As for her 2016-2017 music career, Bea was recruited to open for Selena Gomez's Revival tour with DNCE. She started teasing new music as early as May 20, 2016, with singles like "Yes Girl" and "Song Like You". Then in early February 2017, Bea released her EP entitled "Chapter One: Blue", which featured 3 songs including previously released single "Song Like You". Her next EPs, "Chapter Two: Red" and "Chapter Three: Yellow" will also consist of three singles each and are scheduled for release this year.
