145-Year-Old Casket Found In San Francisco With Preserved Toddler Inside

This intact casket wasn't the only thing that was found when it was dug up from underneath a wealthy San Francisco neighborhood. A young, three-year-old girl was found in the casket well-preserved. This young girl died and was buried in a cemetery in the area more than a hundred years ago. 

Her casket was discovered about a year ago when scientists and historians decided to start investigating to find out who this girl was. Her name, Edith Howard Cook. 

She was a daughter of a prominent San Francisco family and unfortunately died of malnutrition. Read the full story on Los Angeles Times website.
