Long Beach Shark Advisory Put In Place

A shark advisory was set for Long Beach this morning (5/8) after numerous sightings were reported!

On Friday, officials posted warning signs on the beach to keep visitors informed.

Marine safety officials estimated that there are about 10 to 20 young sharks swimming in the waters off Peninsula beach daily -- how crazy!

The beaches are still open, but the signs are going to remain there to warn beach-goers to only go in "at their own risk."

Long Beach officials will be regulating and patrolling the areas to continue monitoring the shark advisory.
