Miley Cyrus Talks New Music, Liam Hemsworth And More In 'Billboard' Cover Story

It's been quite some time since we got new music from Miley Cyrus but it looks like a new era is beginning!

And I could not be any more excited about it.

Miley covered the latest Billboard magazine and talked about a LOT more than just new music in the article.

Talking about being back together with Liam Hemsworth, who she famously split from in 2013, she said:

"...'cause I needed to change so much. And changing with someone else not changing like that is too hard... Suddenly you're like, 'I don't recognize you anymore.' We had to re-fall for each other."

She says they are a better pairing now, and I definitely don't doubt it!

Her new single, "Malibu" is about getting back together with Liam - and it seems her caption on the photo above shares some lyrics from the song, "it's a brand new start... a dream come true... in Malibu..."

On recording the song:

"They're going to talk about me if I come out of a restaurant with Liam... So why not put the power back in my relationship and say, 'This is how I feel'?"

Miley, you seem back and better than ever.

Miley also shared that she has recently decided to be completely sober and that the decision came entirely from her, simply because it's what she wanted to do right now.

And it seems to have her back in a really good place:

"I know exactly where I am right now. I know what I want this record to be. And not in the sense of manipulation—wanting something from my fans or the audience, like some slimy thing —'How do I get attention?' I never thought about that."

Can't wait to see Miley at Wango Tango next week! So excited for this new music from her!
