Ed Sheeran Helped A Homeless Child In Liberia For 'Red Nose Day'

Ed Sheeran was a huge icon for Friday’s Red Nose Day Special!

He performed, partook in a comedy sketch, and hosted a segment about his trip to Liberia where he met with homeless and parentless children.

The segment shows Sheeran meeting a Liberian boy named JD who spent two month in a canoe on the beach after loosing his mother to Ebola and being abandoned by his father.

Sheeran was heavily impacted by JD’s story and told the segment’s crew that he wasn’t going to leave until JD and five of his friends are put into a better situation involving shelter and school. The singer even made sure of this by putting out money to make sure JD didn’t spend another day living in a canoe.

According to Sheeran, Red Nose Day is meant to make a case for children in these situations in hope of bringing in donations to help them.

Needless to say – Ed Sheeran had a giant impact on a great cause!
