The first look at a new destination called Queen Mary Island has been released! The 65 acre waterfront property in Long Beach, where the Queen Mary is currently housed will be redeveloped.
The $250 million dollar project will feature - restaurants, live music, retail space, a hotel, and something called Urban Adventure which will house 20 activities for a thrill seeker. Those activities include surfing, zip lining, trampolines, and even an indoor ice climbing wall. WOAH!
The Queen Mary is currently in bad condition and needs major costly repairs! If we were to have a major flood the vessel could totally sink into the lagoon, oh no. So the entire project will entail the necessary repairs along with the redevelopment of parking lots into the entertainment and shopping!
Making this Queen Mary Island could bring in some serious revenue overtime to help fund all the repairs. They hope to break ground on the project in two year and of course will take a few years to complete. But, it looks pretty cool!
