Day 2 of Style Fashion Week probably had to be one of my favorite days, featuring designers such as Andre Soriano, Walter Mendez, R. Michel’le The Label, and Michael Costello.

Andre Soriano is a San Diego based designer and was also apart of reality fashion show Styled to Rock, which was executively produced by Rihanna. Andre specializes in evening wear and couture gowns. Using only the finest fabrics for his collection models walked down the runway showing of his designs, which consisted of silk, and velvet gowns. His show had an award ceremony theme and I could definitely picture seeing his dresses on a celeb at an award show.
Following Andre was Walter Mendez an L.A. designer with designs featured on TV and red carpets. Walter was awarded designer of the year by the World Networks and has also been featured in WWD (Women’s Wear Daily). Walter’s collection was made up of 13 dresses in navy blue, gold with black, and red. Each dress had some sort of cutout, which gave each piece a very sexy look to it.
R. Michel’le The Label by Rachel Broussard was next to showcase her designs for RTW Fall 2014 collection. A collection full of young contemporary designs this designer definitely caught my attention. As models walked the runway in sheer nude maxi’s and velvet plum crop tops I was already picturing these garments hanging in my closet. Loved this line and I’m excited to get my hands on some of these pieces!
Last but not least, everyone was awaiting this particular designer of the night. Michael Costello, famously know for being a Project runway all-star and designing Beyoncé’s dress for the 2014 Grammys. With two fashion shows that night, Costello is sure taking the fashion world by storm. As the first model walks out I was already drooling. Both of his collections were breathtaking. Featuring see through gowns with lace and sheer fabrics each model floated flawlessly down the runway. By the end of both shows I wanted every single gown. Congrats to him on such an amazing collection.
