California Law requires that all drivers of vehicles within the State maintain evidence of financial responsibility. California's Low Cost Automobile Program (CLCA) was established by the Legislature in 1999 as a program designed to provide income eligible persons with liability insurance protection at affordable rates as a way to meet California's financial responsibility laws.

However, too many income eligible drivers remain uninsured because the costs of standard insurance premiums are beyond their financial reach. Learn about affordable solutions that may help protect you, your friends, family and other drivers on the road.

It started as a parent-run volunteer program that was hands-on and focused on being a support team for the broader school community. The program became a huge success as it not only inspired children to make a difference, but it also resulted in significant savings for the school. It engaged parents and raised interests among the community to continue rolling out this program in other schools.

Since then, Grades of Green has become a non-profit organization, partnered with a local waste hauler and aligned its efforts with the City Council and School Boards to expand the program. The success of the program has led us to receive numerous awards and be nationally spotlighted in magazines and television programs such, as “Curiosity Quest Goes Green” on PBS.

Given the preventable nature of oral disease, TCDC originally envisioned an integrated combination of preventive, education and treatment services tailored to each child and leading to happier, healthier, more productive – even longer lives. The partnership between our providers and the family is essential to fulfill our mission and, further, to contribute to the establishment of a healthy local economy.

The Center opened in 1995 offering comprehensive dental treatment services to dentally underserved children of working poor families. The facility quickly became known as The Smile Store.

As a nonprofit agency we are dedicated to eliminating dental disease and promoting overall health by providing a dental home for under-served children and their caregivers through exceptional and comprehensive prevention, education and treatment services.
