Listen to Krewella on iHeartRadio

Krewella came out to a small DJ setup, but the three-person group made the large Wango Tango stage seem only five feet wide. The Chicago-based trio of Jahan Yousaf, Yasmine Yousaf and Kris "Rain Man" Trindl dropped their bass heavy Electro House and made the whole crowd at Home Depot Center get up and dance to cuts from their debut EP, Play Hard.

Each member ran all over the stage, from the DJ rig to the front and everywhere in between. Their set only slowed for the dub and grime breakdowns. Every time the beat dropped, the group and every single person in the crowd simultaneously threw their heads back and forth. Everyone in unison felt the bass flow throughout the stadium, while sampled cuts distorted and screeched out of the speakers.

The audience went nuts when Krewella met behind the DJ rig and went into the group’s breakout track, “Alive.” The song built up slowly, but once it reached the breaking point, the entire crowd shouted back to the stage, “C’mon make me feel alive.” The acts fast-paced set got the crowd pumped and left everyone with a cathartic feeling as the group left the stage just as quickly as it jumped on.
