An American who works for a German security firm says he's managed to fool the fingerprint scanner in the new Galaxy S5 phone using wood glue and a picture of a fingerprint.

Ben Schlabs says it's the same trick hackers used to get around the iPhone 5 scanner last year, but on the Galaxy phone the flaw is more serious because he was also able to trick the Paypal app that uses Samsung's authentication system to accept the fake fingerprint. Schlabs says if you're worried about security on your new S5, a strong password is safer than a thumb print.
